It is ironic how the question people most ask of me is, “How did you get interested in green building?” is also the most confounding. Being green is not something I suddenly decided to do one day. It is not as if I made a switch, nor should it be how you approach green building.
Like most things in life one feels strongly about, it just made sense to me. Being green has always been a logical choice.
What is the business case for using materials to their extinction; or designing a building to waste energy flagrantly, or shaping rooftops to ignore the water falling on them? In a time when millions go thirsty, we flush our toilets with cleaning drinking water.
