Evolution of Competition Policy & Law by Pradeep S Mehta & Simon J Evenett (CUTS C-CIER)
Nearly all the major countries have constitutional provisions to promote and preserve competition in the market place and have also adopted laws. Countries, which did not have a competition law, are today in the process of adopting one. Laws are being increasingly amended or scrapped and new ones adopted to bring them in line with current needs and the political economy of the country.
