We are not all in the same boat
This is a view of the impact of the US slowdown on countries economically intertwined in a globalized world. It reviews the common concept of globalization and argues that globalization and decouplings are not mutually opposed processes but an intrinsic part of each other. The world is far more economically balanced today offering far greater opportunities to countries with initiative and imagination. As a result for the first time many countries are hardly affected by the current US slowdown. Those affected need to reposition themselves in the world economic map, be vigilant, cut costs and focus on their strengths to pull through.
