The CBI.EU market survey for FSC garden articles shows that EU demand for FSC garden articles, specially for garden furniture, is increasing, while production is not meeting the needs of the market. Germany, The Netherlands and the United Kingdom are the frontrunners in demanding FSC certified products and the EU market relies on imports. Between 2002 and 2006, imports of wooden articles from developing countries increased by 12%. China was the biggest supplier accounting for 12% of total imports, followed by Indonesia (6%) and Vietnam (4%).
