The Development Gateway Cross-Topic Specials for 2003 provide a glimpse into the complexities over the last year in the global fight to end world poverty.
By focusing on issues discussed at international events, the Specials break out of narrow topic communities and place knowledge on the
Gateway's 35 topic pages into the broader context of major development issues. The breadth of these resources not only indicates the wealth of
development information now available on the Internet but, once again, demonstrates the promise that knowledge-sharing can bring to finding solutions
to the challenges of poverty in the developing world.

| Content on the Development Gateway is
managed by a multi-national staff of editors who work with a global
network of partners to build e-communities across 35 development
priority areas. With support from advisors and key cooperating
organizations from around the world, external guides shape the
direction of the DG topic pages and work with staff editors to feature
monthly highlights on individual pages. In March 2003, the Cross-Topic
Specials were inaugurated to spotlight the breadth of resources
available to users on the Gateway, giving them the opportunity to share
resources in a broader context of international development. Interviews
with experts provide additional insight for the Specials. (see links
below). The DG Cross-Topic Specials will continue to evolve during
2004, but we need your feedback. Please take a few minutes to fill out
the above survey. |
