International donors have committed over US$3.5bn to the reconstruction of Aceh, the Indonesian province devastated by the December 2004 earthquake. To acquaint global businesses with reconstruction opportunities in Indonesia, the Asia-Pacific Development Review (ADR) is convening a two-day conference on June 30-July 1 in Jakarta. Companies are invited to meet with multilateral and bi-lateral donor agencies as well as Indonesian government officials to learn about reconstruction protocols and processes, building local partnerships, and operational challenges. For registration information, click on the link below.

'After the Tsunami Series: Reconstruction of Aceh' conference, to be chaired by Eric de Haas, president of the Australia-Indonesia Business Council is the first of three tsunami reconstruction meetings planned by ADR. Future conferences are also planned in Colombo, Sri Lanka, and Mumbai, India.
