They represent the country-level initiatives of the Development Gateway program and consist of country portals and other activities that demonstrate the contributions of ICT to reducing poverty and promoting sustainable development. E-learning projects are among the most popular—and innovative—services offered on Country Gateway portals for community-based learning. The requested resource (/editor/default/) is not available Uruguay Country Gateway Espacio Virtual del Trabajo Del Portal Uruguay Since 2003, the Uruguay Development Gateway (UyDG; Portal Uruguay de Desarrollo) has been an operational portal with e-learning for local legislators as part of its strategic plan. In November 2005, the portal launched the UyDG Training and Updating Program for Local Legislators with the goal of providing local legislators with essential knowledge in different topic areas related to their function. The UyDG e-learning campus, now with a presence in all 19 provinces of Uruguay and expanding activities in other countries in South America’s South Cone region, began in 2003 with the course "Internet and politics for local legislators". The training program began with the implementation of three Regional Seminars on Municipal Budgets. It is built on a Claroline platform, a free application based on PHP /MySQL that allows teachers or academic organizations to create and administer courses through the web. Claroline was developed teacher-to-teacher, using sound pedagogical principles to virtually widen the traditional classroom and online collaborative learning. UyDG e-learning campus manages documents and resources links for learners; guides learners’ progress through a learning path tool; synchronizes learners’ collaborative works (shared calendar, document area, group management tool); produces online multiple choice quizzes with a quiz generator; and provides synchronous (chat) and asynchronous (forum) discussion areas for learners. More  Rwanda Development Gateway Group Partnering with the Rwanda Ministry of Education The RDGG (Rwanda Development Gateway Group) is a group of three ICT for Development initiatives under Rwanda’s Ministry of Education, Science, Technology and Scientific Research (MINEDUC), funded by the Government of Rwanda. The RDGG incorporates the RDGG Secretariat with offices at MINEDUC; Rwanda Development Gateway (RDG); Centre for Geographic Information Systems and Remote Sensing (CGIS); and is hosted by the National University of Rwanda and the Regional Research & ICT Training Centre hosted by Kigali Institute of Science and Technology (KIST). More  Vietnam Development Gateway eLearning VnDG Campus 21 VnDG Campus 21 is a Vietnamese version of Global Campus, a software applied for many years by Germany's capacity building organization (InWEnt) with notable successes around the world. VnDG Campus 21's aims are to establish, manage, and implement training courses, to disseminate information and exchange knowledge among policy makers, businessmen as well as the general population.
