Controversial questions surround the role of multinational corporations in developing countries. From the corporate perspective –are the risks too high? the markets too small? Is it really possible to make a profit in the least developed countries? -And from the policy and societal perspective –how do you attract foreign investors while at the same time creating your own private sector and protecting your people and the environment? With so many seemingly diverging interests -is a win-win scenario possible?
