Modernising Governments – E-Government for Improved Service

The promotion of good practices in the area of e-government can favourably influence the transformation of governments. The resulting benefits can be reduced corruption and waste, increased transparency, greater convenience, revenue growth, and cost reductions.
Recognising the importance of e-government in the promotion of good governance, this conference will bring representatives of governments and business from the Commonwealth together to share experiences and best practice in the area of e-government.
The conference will enable government ministers and officials to share their requirements and experiences in implementing e-government solutions, and enable the private sector to share ideas and present best-of-breed solutions.
Amongst government officials and private sector providers, there are rich and varied experiences of developing ICT initiatives for e-government and improved governance. This conference will bring these experiences to the fore and share them between participants.
