International Women’s Day celebration in Baghdad

To celebrate the International Women’s Day, UNAMI sponsored a high-profile cultural festival, in partnership with the Iraqi Corporation for Culture and Arts, Al-Mada. The one-day event which took place at Al-Alwiya Gardens in Baghdad, was attended by close to 1,000 participants guests, representing women’s associations, artists, academia, government authorities, civil society and the media.
