Resource Kit on Indigenous Peoples´ Issues
SPFII, in cooperation with ILO, UNICEF, UNDP, UNFPA and SCBD has published the Resource Kit on Indigenous Peoples Issues. The Kit is aimed UN Country Teams (UNCTs), and other development agents, providing them with guidance as to how to engage indigenous peoples and include their perspectives in development processes.

An indigenous rights' group has sounded the alarm over a new threat to an uncontacted tribe in Paraguay.

Indigenous leaders renewed their call for greater say in how tropical forests are managed to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, according to AFP.

Speaking to reporters at the World Conservation Congress in Barcelona, Tony James, president of the Amerindian Peoples Association, told AFP that forest people should play a key role in determining how forests should be included in international climate negotiations.

Although he is only 21, Camilo Yoge has seen his indigenous tribe lose its culture, territory and traditions.
