PortaCredit™ is microloan processing software for personal digital assistants (PDAs). Developed by Accion International it is provided to microfinance institutions in developing nations. It allows loan officers in the field to record client data, complete and process applications and make loan calculations. Data can then be quickly uploaded from the PDA to the microfinance institution’s centralized database. Integrating Credit Scoring and Wireless Connectivity are underdevelopment for incorporation in the package.
