OECD Watch is an international network of NGOs promoting corporate accountability. Its purpose is to inform the NGO community about policies and activities of the OECD's Investment Committee and to test the effectiveness and usefulness of the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises. This new website provides useful information on the contents of OECD Guidelines, the functioning of the National Contact Points for the OECD Guidelines, specific instances raised by non-governmental organizations and worldwide events organized by OECD Watch. It is now available in English and in Spanish. A French version is being developed. The OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises are non-binding recommendations addressed by governments to multinational enterprises operating in or from adhering countries. The Guidelines are supported by the 30 OECD participating countries and eight non-Member countries (Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Estonia, Israel, Latvia, Lithuania and Slovenia). They provide voluntary principles and standards for responsible business conduct.
