World Conference on Agricultural Information and IT
This conference, held in Tokyo, Japan from 24 – 28th August, saw the coming together of the International Association of Agricultural Information Specialists (IAALD) and the Asian Federation of Information Technology in Agriculture (AFITA). Discussion was therefore very wide ranging, and covered topics such as standards for the sharing of agricultural information, new ways of engaging users, mobile phone and ICT adoption by farmers and the use of networked sensors for precision farming.

Dimitra is an information and communication project which aims to highlight rural women's contribution to their community and their country.
