Women to the World is celebrating the highest enrollment to date at the Women’s Center in Kabul. Presently, more than 400 women are attending the Center, studying computer use for office employment and English. This forced a move to a larger and safer compound. Winter has forced the Center to secure more heaters and more fuel use, since all classrooms are at maximum student attendance daily.
A new curriculum will be the central appeal for adult women in need of educational helps for employment. This program of study is a fresh approach to adult education, often referred to as “Work Force Education” for women living in a traumatized society. The Center will be providing a two-year, and a three-year certification program.
With help, medical screening and micro-enterprise projects will be added. Afghan nationals now leading this program, will be able to continue and sustain this effort as tools of learning are successfully administered.
