Respect for ecology built into a Model for self-financing, ecological, sustainable, local integrated development projects

The article shows how ecology is built into the Model for self-financing, ecological, sustainable, local integrated development projects for the world’s poor promoted by the Dutch NGO Stichting Bakens Verzet ("Another Way"). The Model is in the public domain and available for use free of charge. It can be downloaded from website www.flowman.nl. The article shows why projects under the Model are 100% ecological and energy neutral. It includes sections on the waste recycling structures set up, the elimination of smoke hazards in and around homes, the widespread use of renewable energies incorporated in project execution, and nature conservation issues.
